Furrer and Li fastest Ski sprinters in Yakeshi

Philip Furrer (SUI) in the men's and Li Xin (CHN) in the women's were the winners of the 2012 Summer Ski Sprint at the beautiful Fengguan Ski Course in Yakeshi, a resort town in the north of Inner Mongolia, China. Furrer left his opponents little chance as he outsprinted Chinese Sun Qinghai and Swede Johan Eriksson for the honours. Swedish duo Frida Hallqvist and Therese Andersson battled it out for the final step on the podium. The competition between elite European skiers and the local Chinese elite was top-notch and afterwards hailed as a big success. The event was held in true summer conditions under blue skies, and was a great return of Nordic Ways’ Summer Ski Tour in China.
