European skiers gearing up for Yakeshi

For the second year in succession elite skiers from Europe will face a national China selection at the Yakeshi Summer Ski Sprint in Inner Mongolia. The list of European athletes coming to race on the 19th of June has been released and it features some hot names.

For the second year in succession elite skiers from Europe will face a national China selection at the Yakeshi Summer Ski Sprint in Inner Mongolia. The list of European athletes coming to race on the 19th of June has been released and it features some hot names.

A total of 21 elite skiers will make the trip to Yakeshi, a beautiful ski resort area close to Hulunbeir in the north of Inner Mongolia, and thus China. As previousy announced, Anders Hoegberg and Lisa Svensson will head the men’s and women’s group respectively. They will be joined by skiers from five different nations: Norway, Finland, Sweden, France and -for the first time- Germany. The Norwegian team is the biggest with 8 skiers in total. On the start list also a number of podium finishers during the China Tour de Ski in winter such as Johan Eriksson and Astrid Bruland.
